I present you a Necron Lychguards of the Pumpkin Dynasty. Like every Halloween the BloodyBeast.com is making some special minis. Two years ago we did Pumpkinhead Crypt Horrors and one year ago we did Legion of the Damned Pumpkin. This year we present Necrons. I’ve always wanted to paint Necrons some different way than just metal. So here it is. The Pumpkin way. They are all meant to be made of wood and bones. I’ve even made a special shields for them made of plywood with painted Necron logo. I thought that straight swords would go better with those models than their original ones. So I took some Grey Knight swords and added to the models. Pumpkin heads are sculpted. There also a scenic base for them with a broken Aquila. There’s one detail I really like about them and that’s the glowing fire in their chests. I’m really happy with the results. Click EACH photo to enlarge.
Prezentuję Wam Necron Lychguardów z Dynastji Dyni. Jak co roku na Halloween BloodyBeast stara się zrobić coś szczególnego. Dwa lata temu zrobiliśmy Pumpkinhead Crypt Horrors a rok temu Legion of the Damned Pumpkin. W tym roku prezentujemy Nekronów. Zawsze chciałem pomalować Necronów w jakoś inaczej niż tylko metal. I oto jest dyniowe malowanie. Wyglądają jakby zbyli złożeni z drewna i kości. Wykonałem nawet specialne tarcze zrobione ze sklejki z namalowanym logiem Nekronów. Dałem im proste miecze od Grey Knightów. Wydaje mi się, że bardziej pasują niż ich oryginalne miecze. Dynie-głowy są wyrzeźbione. Dodałem jednostce sceniczną podstawkę z połamanym orłem imperium. Jest jeden szczegół który mi sie w nich podoba i jest to płonący ogień w między żebrami. Jestem zadowolony z efektu końcowego. Kliknij OBA zdjęcia, żeby powiększyć.
These are awesome!! How did you do the wood grain on their bodies? Did you use a normal necron body and just paint it? You said the heads were sculpted, are they available for purchase? Stellar work!!
